This German instrument was made in Mittenwald in 1850s and restored in 2018. It has a one piece back and a semi-dark stain. Both the top and the back have a high arch. The scroll is very thin and delicately carved. This violin has a very big and bright sound while still maintaining warm undertones and a smooth ending to each note. From the Peter Kyvelos collection.
