Pedrazzini Labeled Violin, Circa 1920's. SOLD

$6,250.00

Labeled: Giuseppe Pedrazzini made in Milan in 1922. Pedrazzini (1879-1957) is known to be one of the best Italian violin makers of the early 20th century. He won many awards for his violin making including in Rome and Cremona. This violin is thought to be a German copy by a Master maker and has a beautiful two piece back with narrow ribbing and a thin, very fine purfling around the edges. The sound is very open and resonant.  The higher stings are very warm with a penetrating sound and the lower strings have a deep strong tone. This violin makes it very easy to manipulate the sound while playing and feels quite easy to bring out a wide range of dynamics. A fine master violin.
